A four-member delegation of Bangladesh Jamaat-e-Islami arrived at Jamuna in Dhaka this evening to meet with Chief Adviser Professor Muhammad Yunus.
A vehicle carrying the Jamaat delegation was seen entering Jamuna after 5:30pm, our correspondent reported from the spot.
At the time, the chief adviser was holding a meeting with a delegation from the National Citizen Party (NCP).
The Jamaat delegation is being led by party's Nayeb-e-Ameer Syed Abdullah Mohammad Taher, according to the party's central publicity department.
However, the identities of other members could not be known immediately.
Jamaat has said they will discuss the current political situation, the process of implementing the July National Charter, and other related issues during the meeting.
Since the signing of the July Charter on October 17, political parties have taken varying positions on its implementation. Against this backdrop, the chief adviser has initiated a series of dialogues with political parties.
At a meeting yesterday, the BNP asked the interim government to assume the role of a non-partisan caretaker administration to ensure that the upcoming national election is neutral and acceptable to all.
