BNP leaders will meet Chief Election Commissioner (CEC) AMM Nasir Uddin tomorrow to express concerns over the neutrality of the Election Commission and sections of the administration ahead of the upcoming national election.

A BNP delegation led by Standing Committee Member Abdul Moyeen Khan will visit the EC at around 11:00am tomorrow, BNP Media Cell member Sayrul Kabir Khan told The Daily Star this afternoon.

Party sources said the BNP alleged that a section of officials within the administration and the EC maintain links with Jamaat-e-Islami.

The party has decided to raise these issues directly with the CEC and seek "urgent corrective measures" to ensure a fair electoral environment.

Meanwhile, the BNP yesterday met the chief adviser of the interim government and conveyed its concern, saying the administration must act neutrally ahead of the upcoming national election.
