DC London Pie Limited, the operator of Pizza Hut in the UK, has announced the closure of 68 restaurants there. However, this decision will not affect the business operations in Bangladesh.

The announcement followed a report in a local media outlet with the headline, "Pizza Hut's 68 Restaurants Are Closing, 1,200 Employees Losing Jobs," which caused confusion among consumers. A Pizza Hut customer noted that the misleading headline could lead consumers to believe the closures were happening in Bangladesh.

According to the international news agency Reuters, the event is specific to the United Kingdom and is a strategic decision by the company. The decision came after DC London Pie Limited, which runs the UK restaurants, recently appointed FTI Consulting as its administrator.

Pizza Hut management has clarified that this development applies only to the UK business and has no bearing on its operations in Bangladesh. The company will continue to operate its business as usual, assuring consumers that there is no cause for concern locally.
