Prof. Dr Md Mamun Habib, Head of the Department of General Management at the School of Business and Entrepreneurship (SBE), Independent University, Bangladesh (IUB), and Principal Contact Person of AACSB, has been appointed AACSB Regional Network Virtual Ambassador under the Association to Advance Collegiate Schools of Business (AACSB), USA.

Prof. Habib, a distinguished academic and prolific researcher with more than 250 publications and approximately 3,700 citations, is the only AACSB Regional Network Virtual Ambassador from Bangladesh. In his new role, he will represent his regional network and promote institutional engagement within the AACSB Exchange platform. He will also coordinate collaboration across member institutions to enhance professional learning, academic exchange, and cooperation among AACSB-affiliated universities.

The appointment, announced by Brittaney Mericle, Membership Community Manager of AACSB International, is part of a global initiative aimed at strengthening cross-border academic collaboration and knowledge sharing among leading business schools.

SBE at IUB has been an AACSB member since 2015, underscoring the university's long-standing commitment to global academic excellence and international business education standards.

Prof. Habib's appointment highlights Bangladesh's growing presence in international business education networks, positioning IUB among the region's most globally engaged institutions.
