Renowned filmmaker Gias Uddin Selim returns with 'Perfect Wife', a romantic comedy premiering on Chorki on 23 October. 

The story explores the complexities of modern marriage through two young couples whose relationships unravel during a visit. 

Selim, known for 'Monpura', 'Swapnajaal' and 'Gunin', uses humour to challenge traditional ideas of the 'ideal wife' shaped by patriarchal expectations.

The film stars Sudip Biswas Deep and Ariana Zaman alongside Mir Rabby and Zopari Lushai, with the latter two working with Selim for the first time. The director collaborated with an emerging team — including first-time fiction contributors in cinematography, editing, and music.

According to Selim, 'Perfect Wife' questions what 'perfection' really means in love and partnership. The cast hints at a witty, relatable story filled with surprises and emotional depth, with an aim of it being a cinematic reflection of life's brief yet impactful moments.
